Our Breakfast Club at work meets every Friday. Not like something out of a John Hughes film but more like eat breakfast and socialize for half an hour. When I came in on Friday before I could even pick up a bagel the group said: "SORRY, only non-curling fans allowed!" In shock I of course said in a very assertive voice: "WHAT!?!?!?"

It was a great morning watching President Obama take his oath and be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States.  Even if Chief Justice Roberts didn't admit to reciting the oath incorrectly, something about that slight hesitation showed that Obama is human just like very American.

Upset at getting a ticket for street sweeping the day after Christmas. I had tweeted about it and many had expressed their annoyance with their tickets.  On New Year's Eve, a couple in Long Beach was killed while moving their car for fear that they might get a parking ticket the next day for street sweeping.
