Not Everyone is an Asshole on The Night Before Thanksgiving

The Onion posted an article entitled “26-Year-Old To See Every Asshole He Ever Went To High School With On Night Before Thanksgiving” To some that may be true, but for the past 8 years Thanksgiving Eve was time well spent with GREAT friends until this year.
Every Thanksgiving Eve since 2000, a group of my friends from high school get together at my friend’s house to: eat food, give thanks, catch up with each other, and reminisce about high school. For the first time in 8 years, the group did not get together. Maybe our friend didn’t want to hold it at their house anymore, or maybe the group was slowly tapering off in attendance each year? Or even greater question, maybe we’ve just gotten too old to get together on Thanksgiving Eve that we have other obligations?
People started to get together because of those who went off to college had to come back in to town for Thanksgiving to be with their families. Therefore, they had no excuse to miss Thanksgiving Eve dinner. Now that we’ve gotten older, perhaps we are the ones who are preparing the Thanksgiving feast the next day for our families. Another reason could be that we’re not coming into town this Thanksgiving and won’t be able to share stories until 4am. There could be a ton of reasons why it’s difficult for friends to get together anymore and although some of us may have moved on to new Thanksgiving Eve experiences, those years were definitely not nights “To See Every Asshole I Ever Went to High School with on Night before Thanksgiving.”
NIECEE’s TAKE AWAYS:
- Experiencing New Traditions. This Thanksgiving Eve was interesting. Not because of the fact that I literally blacked out, fainted, and fell backwards to the point where my boyfriend had to catch the upper part of me before I completely made a “Thwack!” sound (the pain of the bruise on my ass still hurts until today). It’s because I did get to see a crowded Main St for the first time with lines at every bar and probably tons of people in those lines thinking exactly what Jordan McCabe was thinking.

What is the point of this? I absolutely do not believe you. But as I said before human beings are complicated creatures, they do acts that are not always right . Well maybe I have a bad day , I may go and do some training, maybe that helps to find some decent sensation
