It was a crazy day on Twitter yesterday. @BrettDPayne SEO Director for the Chicago Tribune confirmed last night on Twitter that: @jkrums passed on selling his twitpic photo of US Airways Flight 1549 crash to @LATimes and sold it to @APNewsAlert instead.
Janis Krums happened to be on a ferry on the Hudson River and caught a twitpic with his phone and tweeted to his followers: http://twitpic.com/135xa - There’s a plane in the Hudson. I’m on the ferry going to pick up the people. Crazy
Many had seen this now famous twitpic that’s currently registered at over 80,000 views. Inform even mentioned that Twitpic crashed today based off of the number of views.
Who would’ve thought the Associated Press would buy a simple picture taken with your phone.

NIECEE’s TAKE AWAYS:
Right Time Right Spot. Janis Krums happened to be on a ferry at the right time and in the right spot. Sure it was taken with his camera phone, but something about the lighting, the water, and the people kind of made it just right.
