Creeped Out by Dramatic Version of Creep on The Social Network Trailer

Sony Pictures released it’s dramatic trailer of the movie The Social Network and may have exaggerated the suspense with its overly dramatic version of Radiohead’s “Creep.”
For months we had heard about the movie The Social Network coming out. You know, the story of the creators of Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg. How in 2003 they created this website that got over 22,000 hits in 2 hours (This was a big deal 7 years ago in 2003 for all you Gen Y kids shaking their heads saying “That’s Nothing!”) that eventually led to fame, fortune, and many legal battles.
The trailer came out on Friday that consisted of many dramatic clips and an operatic/choir like version of Radiohead’s “Creep”. The photomontage in the beginning was a bit creepy in a very Myspace way, but the editing of the trailer may have been a little overly done.
With a great director like David Fincher, I have high hopes for this film and hope that by pitching a dramatic trailer like this to the viewers won’t be a let down when we go to the box office on October 1. Having Trent Reznor on the soundtrack is even more amazing, but if it’s anything like this overly done version of Creep, Sony will be facing some harsh reviews from it’s listeners & viewers.
