Life in Purple

Purple has always been my favorite color (I wonder if it had to do with the fact that my sister constantly played “Purple Rain” by Prince when I was a kid) and photography has always been my favorite medium of art so when I came across this photo gallery on National Geographic’s website I had to write a post on it.

Polar bears in Mantioba, Canada as the sunsets on the horizon leaves a purple/magenta sky.  Dragon dancers in Taiwan prepare for the Double Ten Day in a cloud of purple smoke. The Shaybah oil field turns the Saudi Arabian sky purple as a man dances atop a nearby sand dune.

NIECEE’s TAKE AWAYS:

  • Inspiration. It’s always hard to find something that really inspires you.  Sometimes looking outside of what your normal resources are, will help that.
