My friends at work know I have a coffee addiction so it was no surprise that they sent me this post on a car that runs on coffee.

I’ve talked about a car running on beer before, but unfortunately I’m not a big beer drinker. I am however a big caffeine drinker. Every morning before I go to work I stop by Coffee Bean and pick up a small non-fat latte. An addiction I can never let go. I blame my mother for starting me on it at the early age of 7.



It seems that the Bang Goes the Theory team unveiled a car that runs on coffee. A 1988 Volkswagen Scirocco named: “Car-puccino,” how cute!  The car is estimated to do three miles per kilo or 56 espressos per mile. When it’s put into those terms, not sure it’s cost efficient for Coffee Bean to slip me an extra 55 shots in my latte. It does however sound better for the environment.
