Paper Planes Remix on Golden Globe Winner Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack

Last night Slumdog Millionaire took home the best categories you could win at the Golden Globes.  Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and one of my favorites: Best Original Score.

You’ll definitely fall in love with the whole soundtrack. A.H. Rahman does a great job at making you relive all the greatest moments of Slumdog Millionaire.  From the moment all the kids being chased by the police run off the field and onto the rooftops of the city; to the musical montage of Jamal and Salim growing up and finding their independence.  There is one song on here that did catch me by surprise.

If Pineapple Express killed M.I.A’s Paper Planes for you, then the DFA remix found on the Slumdog Millionaire just might revive it for you.

Oscar Noms are coming up soon.  Can we expect to see a repeat?

NIECEE’s TAKE AWAYS:

Killed Songs Live Through Remixes.  You know a song is killed when you flip to every station and that song is on, or that it’s on every hour.  Since people have moved away from traditional FM/AM radio people and have been able to avoid these situations, but there’s no avoiding it when walking into a store and hearing it for the 50th million time.  Kind of like hearing Wham’s Last Christmas during the Holidays.  Fortunately when you have a great producer, a once great song can be revived.
