Another Twitter Tool

How many tools are out there for Twitter: Twitter Search (Summize), Tweetburner, My Tweeple, and recently to the bunch Tweader.  Tweader allows you to catch up on conversations when you’ve been away from Twitter.  All the @replies can get confusing and can lead you to back track for awhile. Read Write Web however, calls out why it’s not such a great tool.

Tweader only allows you to catch conversations before the message you enter and not after.  RWW brings up a good point, “Providing information of the entire conversation is what we call “tracking the conversation”. Isn’t that the purpose of the service?”

Because Twitter is still working out the kinks, it’s not easy to find the right Twitter tool to help you filter and aggregate. Maybe that’s the best part of Twitter not being fully baked is that it allows you to search and discover what tools fit your networking personality.

NIECEE’s TAKE AWAYS:

  • Half-Baked User Navigation. RWW referred to Tweader as being a “half-baked” product.  Although Tweader kept in mind that it would be handy for those that step away from Twitter, they didn’t think about the users who are the avid @reply users
