Who says old people can’t play basketball???

Ken Mink is a 73 year old full-time student at Roane State Community College in Harriman, Tennessee and went down in their books as scoring 2 points in their victorious game vs King College. 52 years ago Mink was expelled from Lee’s College in Kentucky after having been accused of soaping the basketball coach’s office. He wrote every college within the area asking to give him a chance to play on the team.

Roane’s basketball coach gave him a chance and became the oldest person to ever play college basketball.

NIECEE’s TAKE AWAYS:

  • You’re never too old. This definitely a story of inspiration. It’s never too late to go back and try something you wanted to do when you were younger. You may kill yourself in the process of it, but at least you can say you went back and did it!
