17 Years Later & I Finally Have My Riding Boots

Something I’ve wanted since I was nine was a pair of my very own authentic riding boots.  Well today I finally gave in and bought a pair!

I know you’re thinking how at nine years old I could want a pair of riding boots.  Well, my sister and I are 11 years apart and when I was nine she volunteered at some equestrian show that was selling riding goods.  Neither my sister nor I, were involved with riding, she just happened to be volunteering at that time.  As I was hanging out with my sister, a pair of riding boots caught my eye and I couldn’t take my eyes off of them. Something about wearing those boots made it seem cool, but what would I do with riding boots?  I didn’t ride, and I live in California where there’s no cold weather to wear them every day as a kid. Today is a different story.

Riding boots have been a trend for years, but even more so this season.  Frye is a great example and has history and heritage behind manufacturing them that’s rooted in World War II.  A pair of their boots will set you back a good amount, but a good choice if you don’t want to go super authentic like me.

NIECEE’s  TAKE AWAYS:

  • Cost Efficient: Authenticity or Fake.  Like my Teddy Ruxpin incident  at  times having the real thing is better, but sometimes going for the fake is more cost efficient in trends especially if you know it’s going to only last for a few weeks.
