The Unofficial 2008 Olympic T-shirt

Two guys in Hong Kong decided to come up with a shirt that promotes unity in the Beijing Olympics.  This unoffical shirt lists all the participating countries in a colorful track like version.  Only 888 tees have been manufactured since the olympics kick-off on 08.08.2008.

Althought the t-shirt is a simple design.  I’m most impressed with School’s website.  Each 888 tee is numbered and when a tee is purchased, the site shows the name of the customer, location, and a special shoutout message.

If you know me by now, yes I’m looking into buying it, particularly #819.

NIECEE’s TAKE AWAYS:

  • Limited edition with meaning. I really like the fact that School really understands youth and how to use limited edition without the overkill. They also turned something that has a lot of negative controversy and turned it into a more positive message.
  • 15 seconds of fame. Seriously, one of the reasons I’m thinking of buying #819 isn’t because I like the color of the shirt and it’s packaged in a cool Ziploc bag.  It’s because my name will be in spot #816!
