Drum roll please….Tada da daaaaa….It’s here the release of the new i-Phone 3G!
My morning started off with someone getting out of bed at 4AM to go stand in line for the i-Phone 3G. Not me, my significant other! I know what you’re thinking..”What Niecee didn’t go for the i-Phone 3G???” I’ve had my share of standing in long lines, but for some reason I’m not completely sold on it. Some people however are.

Line ups started at AT&T locations yesterday morning, possibly even Wednesday at some locations across the nation. I decided to get up this morning, (not 4 AM) and see the madness.
The nearest AT&T store is 2 blocks from my apartment so I decided to drive up and see how my boyfriend was doing in line. As I inched to the corner, I saw that a line had developed a block long. AT&T locations are only carrying a certain number of phones and had to assign numbers to people based on where they stood in line. Some didn’t receive a number, but they were persistent and insisted in standing in line at the chance that more would be released.

As the doors opened at 8am, people stood in anticipation, and customers were looking at a set-up time of 45min to an hour because the network was moving so slow. At 8:40am the first person in line was set-up and ready to go home and play with his new toy. All he had to do was camp out and wait in line for 24 hours.

I’ll take my chances and wait for the Google Android even though I’m sad that the release has been delayed.
