Netflix Keeps Profiles

Last month Netflix announced the following: “We wanted to let you know we will be eliminating Profiles, the feature that allowed you to set up separate DVD Queues under one account, effective September 1, 2008.” Many dedicated customers were shocked by this announcement and went into action.
An online petition and a Facebook protest group drew so many activists that Netflix decided to keep their profile feature.
Many believed that profiles were the main tool that was responsible for the Netflix following, but apparently that’s not the case according to Netflix’s spokesperson stating that the profile feature was only being used by a small percentage of subscribers.
It’s a good thing Netflix kept the profile because you might have ended up with a copy of the Lion King when what you really wanted was a copy of 300. Guess they land in the same category; they both have battles in it.
