If you had any doubt that it’s not humanly possible to create a website over night, well now you can put it aside because it’s possible!

Change.gov the official website to President-Elect Obama launched the very next day after Obama won the election. The site features a newsroom, blog, agendas of how him and his administration plan to carry out policies, and one of the best features:

This transition is about selecting a new staff and agenda that will help reclaim the American dream and bring about positive lasting change to this country. In order to do that, we want to hear from you.

Tell us your story and the issues that matter most to you. Share with us your concerns and hopes. – the policies you want to see carried out in the next four years.

Yes! That means the President wants to know your story! He wants to know your concerns! Now that’s what I call engaging with Americans!

NIECEE’s TAKE AWAYS:

  • Research, Connect & Engage. Obama is already in search for a Chief Technology Officer. He’s doing the research, making sure he’s connecting, and whether it be in person or online he’s engaging with Americans. When I was 8 I wrote a letter to President Bush about endangered animals because I had just learned certain animals are endangered and one of the ways you can help is by voicing your opinion. I never heard a response back, but today’s younger generation has technology and capability to have their voices heard. Even if they are only 8 years old.
